- Cell culture section of CRL is well equipped and offers a range of assays to perform various activities. These include:
- Culture of Fibroblasts from human gingival tissue and periodontal ligament.
- Culture of stem cells from various dental sources such as gingival, periodontal ligament, dental pulp and apical papilla tissues.
- Induction of stem cell differentiation into osteoblasts, odontoblasts, adipocytes, chondrocytes.
- Basic and advanced assays to test for cell viability, cellular toxicity, cell proliferation, DNA fragmentation and apoptosis
- Culture and maintenance of cell lines from tissues and various cancer derived cell lines.
- Purification and maintenance of oral cancer cell lines derived from patients.
- Development of 3D cell culture models for drug testing.
