Maratha Mandal, Belagavi was established in 1931 and has grown to encompass 37 institutions offering a diverse range of programs across the faculties of Arts, Science and Commerce as well as postgraduate courses in Dental, Engineering, Pharmacy and Polytechnic.

Maratha Mandal’s NGH Institute of Dental Sciences and Research Centre was founded in 1992 and initially offered a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program. Today, it has expanded to include postgraduate courses in seven specialties, a Ph.D. program and implantology.

Maratha Mandal's Central Research Laboratory (MMCRL) was established in the year 2004. Spanning 10,500 square feet, this state-of-the-art laboratory is equipped with advanced capabilities in Microbiology, Molecular biology, Immunology, Cell culture, and Pharmaceutical sciences. Recognized as the "Nodal Reference Center for Research in Oral Microbiology" by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bengaluru. MMCRL is also designated as a “Scientific and Industrial Research Organization” (SIRO) by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, New Delhi. CRL maintains over 37 Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with various universities, academic institutions, industrial partners, and the National Institute of Traditional Medicine (ICMR).

CRL of MM stands tall to felicitate academic growth by providing an extensive array of support to all the streams of sciences. We are open to new ideas and opportunities with a hope to build students to be open minded individuals. As a part of our commitment to excellence we have expanded our research opportunities for the medical fraternity. A CRL of these efforts to develop novel multidisciplinary collaborative teams to bridge the gap between basics sciences, clinical and technical departments.

We foster to address the complexities of modern sciences. I welcome the students to innovate yourself and harness your own perspective.
